General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. I have been under a lot of stress recently, but
I have been having problems with my stomach.
I have been having gas, bloating, burping, diarrhea/normal stools, and a bad taste in my mouth.
Of course, I still have missed heartbeats on top of it.
Sound familiar?

Stress directly affects the rest of your body, but at times you may not be aware of it. If your stomach is getting upset, i would say it is 100% because of your stress. Stress, anxiety, panic and any other negative emotions get pushed directly into your stomach, all of your ogans take on the same stress that you are dealing with, hence they start to act out. I would talk to your doctor about it and see if there is some other underlying problem. Maybe you have a bacterial infection in your intestinal tract, when your internal organs are weak, they tend to have to compensate, and usually you notice stress more, especially in the region of your stomach. At least that is how it's been for me, as well as many many other people i have come across. It has also been affirmed by ALL of my doctors.

yes I had that happen yesterday. I had a stressful situation and when it was all worked out I still had lingering anxiety and found myself feeling naseous and running to the bathroom in the supermarket. Even though the actual stressful situation took place an hour or two before. It's just the body's way of reacting I guess.

Oh yes, I can relate. I had the bad taste in my mouth and upper abdominal burning. The doctor thought I had GERD or an ulcer and I took Protonix (acid reducer) for a couple of weeks. All my medical tests came back negative and I stopped taking the protonix. I've had virtually no anxiety for over 2 weeks now and no stomach problems. My stomach problems were definitely related to stress and anxiety.

Hi, Your not alone. If i am in a stressful situation, i get bad stomach and need the toilet. I think its to do with chemicals your body releases whilst under stress that mixes and reacts with our bodies (not too sure though) :)

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
