Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. Everything is going to work out. Don't lose hope. You can and will beat this. I promise *hug*
Sometimes it takes a while to get there, but it's so worth the journey. Hang in there.
If you're feeling lost, talk to your therapist or doctor. They can give you advice about how to cope when things are particularly bad. In the meantime, try distracting yourself.
I like to watch movies or reruns of TV shows that make me feel good (nothing serious or scary) and cuddle with my favorite stuffed animal (you are never too old for a good stuffed animal).
Just remember, you're not alone. All of us have been where you are right now and a lot of us have learned how to overcome our anxiety and live fruitful happy lives.
There is hope. Stay positive and keep working. Remind yourself that it's only anxiety. It's not the boss of you. I hope this helps.
Coping with anxiety is hard. No one in this group is going to tell you differently. But with the help of your medications and your therapist they should be able to get you over this "hump" so that you are no longer feeling that sense of hopelessness.
Call your doctor or therapist today and see if they can work you in for an appt.. Keep trying to think "good thoughts" in the meantime and hang in there. Let us all know if you were able to see your therapist today and what they did to help you.
Best wishes and stay positive. Don't throw in the towel yet, give your therapist a chance to help you work through your feelings.
