I'll send some comfort and prayers your way!
I write a journal here in DS. and have my account settings so only DS friends can read it.
however i still do not write really personal stuff for others to read but i have shared some problems and issues and have received valuable support.
me personally i was never able to talk with my parents about things and especially personal deeper things. no way. but that's just how our family dynamics are.
i don't know how it is with you and your parents. if you are close and loving, and if there is respect and all of those things then maybe give it a try but by now if you haven't been able to communicate with your parents about things then that indicates to me that they may not be easily approachable. Parents have to be open and approachable for their kid to feel comfortable to share things. Are they easy to approach? can you go up to your mom and say hey mom can I talk with you about something? and she says. yeah hun, of course you can, I am here for you.
That would be good.
I find it difficult to open up to certain people because I fear being ridiculed. misunderstood, fear of judgment because frankly there are people out there who are like that and has happened to me.
so for me it takes me a long time before I can open up to someone and to this day there are some things I just won't share with anyone because I just think things are best left unsaid to protect myself.
but really if you can find a person you can trust. that is really the key.
Plus I think it is the act of "asking" itself. There is a big old martyr living inside me, and she thinks that if something is wrong with me people should just "know". To have to ask somebody to help me just feels like I am demeaning myself. I feel like if they knew me, they would care. If they cared, they would offer their help. They obviously don't know me and don't care, so why bother?
Such a healthy way to think, isn't it? LOL
