I was very worried when I would need to talk about job promotion or pay increase. I would react very emotionaly anyway but it seems that after I started taking tranqulizers (Ativan and others) it got worse majorly. I was shaking on withdrawal. It would came to the condition when I had to take them like every half of hour. After that I got into nerves breackdown and deep depression. Now though I have horrible depresion I still do not shake as much since I stoped taking tranqulizers but I had to take Elavil for several months to reduce agitation I was in. It gradualy came to the point when I was not only shaking but also could not sit, lay or even stand in one place. I had to be moving 24 hour per day. I spent horrible 3 months in that condition and nothing could remove it till somebody finaly gave me Elavil. 2 monthes of that brought agitation down that I am able to sleep, sit, lay and do something. I still have horrendous depression. I am thinking that i would not get into this condition if I would not start taking tranqulizers because when the person has horrible problems in personal life. One thing which helps go on is optimizm. Tranqulizers on withdrawal give feeling on complete hopelessness so they propel person who just have anxiety problems (which I had for many years and was controling by exsersises, work, study, hobbies and so on) into deep neurotic depression when the life seems needless.

When my reaction on tranqulizers went very bad as I said shaking, tremor and staff, feeling like the head is going to explode and overwelming feeling when thinking or talking to somebody they gave me Celexa and that brought it into caput in 2 days. From my experience with it if they would give me Effexor or Elavil my condition would improve instead of getting worse. Celexa (Citalopram) is very activating antidepresant which make people who have regular (calm) depression go more active but it is death for neurotic because it makes neurotic more nerves. Even Trazodon (Trittico) though would not help as much as other two would be more useful in anxiety outbreack than Celexa and others of that type.

Celexa is good antidepresant in general. my aunt attempted suicide and after they gave her celexa (Citalopram) she found reason for living very quickly so they standartly prescribe celexa to everybody with nerves issues in most of medical centers but it can be last straw that breacks cammel's back for people with high anxiety.

I see you are taking Seroquel. That by itself can kill some people. Some people are very tolerant to it and can take it like candies even with alcohol. For me it was deadly drug because I lost speech for two days from it and thought that I will die right away after taking it one time. I was taking other neuroleptics and though they did not cause as bad effect as seroquel for me they would make me realy anxious, they give the feeling like you can not find the place in this world at all, they give the spells of panic attacks like you are being squeezed into space or teared apart. I was taking them to reduce obcessive thoughts. they seems like were duming me out a little so thoughts were not as profound so I kept taking them and had all those ungodly anxiety spells. After I stoped all of them and started taking Elavil by itself it reduced obcessive thoughts and anxiety was gone. Seroquel does help to people to reduce obcessive thoughts whose thoughts are of psychotic nature. If the thoughts are of neurotic nature only tranqulizers reduce them for short period but with bad withdrawal symptoms later and antidepresants with hypnotizing effect such as Elavil, Effexor (Wellafaxine), Remeron. When you take this antidepresants together with neuroleptics such as Seroquel their effect will be hidden by bad sideeffects from neuroleptic. For that reason i innitialy abandoned Elavil even though it stoped me from running circles day and night but after I returned to it later and took it by itself it also removed anxiety and obcessive thoughts so that was I was taking. Now I am thinking about going to Effexor because it suppose to be more effective for depression than Elavil.
