Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. So idk how you feel about possibly seeking medical help but it worked wonders for me.
if i'm having a particularly rough day & i know i don't need to take care of any urgent responsibilities, i put on my headphones, listen to some ambient/classical music & lie down with my eyes closed so i can relax. reading is good as well, keeps your mind busy. if you can get an audio book, that's the best thing i've tried. it's nice to hear someone else's voice & focus on the words.
I was taking medications for panic attacks but it didnt help..and I have to admit that this support group s very helpful.
My best to you :)
For me this went back to childhood sexual abuse when I really did think I was going to die each time the abuse happened. So now, 34 years later, when I have anxiety and panic I talk to myself (my inner children actually) and say that I am safe, that no one can hurt me and that the body sensations are only a symptom of the anxiety (and past abuse for me).
Here is a website you can check out that may be helpful www.anxietycoach.com This site taught me to think of the body sensations as symptoms of the anxiety which was very helpful for me.
Take care
I had this a long time ago and didn't
know what it was,I do now. It was feelings of
abandonment; which can be actual abandonment by parents,or metaphorical abandonment by
their behavior (you were never loved).
I strongly advise counseling.
