Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
It is a step by step guide and I highly recommend it if you want the anxiety gone permanently. It is not a hoax or trick....it is the real deal. However, you have to be willing to work at finding reasons for the anxiety. Trust me......there is something in your past that is creating anxiety unconsciously......I didn't think so either, but once I found the key, I am dealing with it head on and my anxiety is leaving little by little.
LuckyEmpathy is also a wealth of help and solace :)
These two women have helped more than any doctor or pill has IMO.
I wish you the best and hope you look into Monday threads :)
It does not happen on its own though and I reccommend having some sort of system in place to keep you grounded whether its therapy or this monday posting thing. best of luck!!!
Also, MsBlank is correct in pointing out that there is something in your past that is causing you to have anxiety. I did not remember the cause of mine until 2 years ago when I remembered I was sexually abused as a child. I started with anxiety and panic when I was 16 and for 28 years suffered with it. When I remembered the abuse (at 44) and started healing from that the anxiety and panic started to go away. I rarely have anxiety now.
If your psychiatrist is someone who only prescribes and doesn't do talk therapy, I would recommend you find a therapist and start talk therapy. It's amazing how much can be accomplished just by talking.
Also, I mention that I was sexually abused but that does not mean that you were. All types of trauma cause anxiety in each of us from a death of a loved one to you being involved in a car accident. When you are with a therapist discussing your life you will probably uncover what caused your anxiety. And once you heal the trauma you can work on reducing your anxiety. In the meantime though, please check out Adventureguide's posts because they are VERY helpful as long as you do the work involved.
Take care
MsBlank - Thank you for the accolades! :-)
