I have been taking Klonipin a quarter to half mg
Every 2 or 3 days on and off for 3 years.
I was prescribed an antibiotic, levaquin, for a sinus
Infection about a month ago. That's when it got bad
I read that this class of antibiotcs completely displaces
All the benzo from the receptor putting you right into withdraw.
Well, that anxiety from withdraw is why my doc told me to take it
More frequent. I tried but, my fear of addiction kept me from taking it twice a day.
Mad that I'm addicted, I stopped. I know. Stupid. Last dose was
0.125 mg 4 days ago.
I'm in hell Shaking, anxiety out of this world, nauseated.
My pdoc not in till tues and noone on call and
My PCP not responding.
I have Valium here. Longer acting benzo that is not a potent. Should I take one 5 mg or even 2.5 mg? I don't know what to do.

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

If you feel the need is immediate then please go to your local ER.
Good luck!
I reduced my dose from .75 mg to .50 mg per day over a 6 or 8 week period and barely noticed it .
I promise your addiction is very mild. Here's why. The normal minimum
dose of Klonopin is 0.5 per day. If you're taking .125 mg every 4 days
that's 1/16 of the normal " minimum " dose.
That means if you take 5mg of Valium
you would be increasing your benzo intake by 100%. Not a good idea
when you're trying to wean off.
The equivalent dosage conversion is 20 to 1.
Take the Klonopin dose and multiply by 20 to get the equivalent Valium dose.
it takes planning and organisation to go off those things, you can't just stop. They affect your brain function. Without them your brain doesn't function until it readjusts its chemistry.
Now go back to the doctor and ask for a different antibiotic.
If you want to go off the Klonopin do it sanely, with a timeframe and a plan. do it deliberately, because you have chosen to.
it's not safe for you or the people around you for you to just go cold turkey. it's a really bad idea!
