Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

this May seem strange and weird but I really need help. I’m going with my boyfriend to meet his family and friends for thanksgiving and I’m terrified. Like I’m feeling sick about it every day. Large groups of people I don’t know and meeting them really overwhelm me. And I haven’t met most of these people at all. I’m afraid they will judge me and idk it just really makes me feel nervous to the point I want to throw up. And I keep hoping something will come up so we don’t have to go.
On top of that , he wants me to go with him to meet his daughter that he’s never met before. Apparently her mother abandoned her and now she’s living with her grandmother. That in itself scares me. He doesn’t know for sure if the child is his, so one reason he wants to see her is to do a paternity test.
This baby was from his ex gf right before we got together. But I know if it is his it will change our relationship forever. And the kids almost two, so it would be a huge change to our relationship. Idk I’m just very overwhelmed, and I don’t know what to do. I tried to explain it to him but he doesn’t get it. I can’t sleep just imagining what will happen
another big part of why I’m nervous to go , is the fact he has a bad habit of wandering off when he sees old friends leaving me alone with people I don’t know. And that is probably the thing that makes my anxiety the worst.
sorry this was so long I just really had to get these feelings off my chest.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
It is possible to be with your boyfriend without seeing his family. I am thinking going to Las Vegas to get married. That way, I do not need to deal with families. The hotels have wedding services.
No one will be judging you. People are mostly in their own heads. They'll be eating, watching football, doing their own thing... they won't be scrutinizing you.
It sounds like a fun time to me :) You will be fine and you will have a great time!:)
We are here to lean on whenever you need. Steadying support while you navigate the new crossroad. Sort freely. Sort often. Rambling allowed.
As for his kid thing, sorry but that’s a more complicated situation not sure what to advise.
