Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I think if something was really wrong, you would have other symptoms. A pounding heart is usually caused by something OTHER than a heart problem and the same for dizziness. Of course, they can mean there is a cardiac problem but most people that experience these symptoms have hearts that are perfectly fine.
Stay strong and try to keep yourself busy until that stress test! Good luck to you!
I have had palpiations for many years!! I had a EKG done 15 years ago and all was fine and he said anxiety. I also feel mine more in bed at night. I also can feel my heart beating in every bit of my body. So, I have other issues totally and was sent to a cardo dr. for stress test and it was perfect! i talked to nurse about these feelings and she said not to worry!!
OK, so I do not worry and just let the heart pound away and when it takes the feeling of a butterfly for a few seconds, I just breath deep and hold tight to what I know and fall asleep.
The test it's self was on a treadmill and a few wires put on you and they had to do so readings when I was done. So the test he did was easy...I was scared at what I would have to do!!
You WILL be fine! Good for you going to dr. and it will be over before you know it.
You are not alone.
Hang tight!!
I had a stress test 3 years ago and I was alittle scared too. But it was just some hard running on a treadmill and then they would do an ultrasound of my heart. All it showed was that I was out of shape and needed to exercise. So good luck to you, I'm sure you will be fine. I don't know how you believe, but I pray to The Lord as often as I can. So take it to the Lord, he is always there for you. God Bless.
