Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

Last night was very hard on me, couldn't sleep but today I woke up well and I managed to clean my garage and take away clutter.
I am not in any medication, Dr. has prescribed them to me, but I don't like to take any medication, I tried to drink a lot of water, chamomile tea helps me a lot. Today my anxiety was low but still my thinking is in my anxiety like If I'm alway in guard waiting for an anxiety attack, It's very tiring to live like this but currently I'm worrying about my finances and my job. Thank you for your support everyone, I'll keep you posted. smiles
I understand about not wanting to take medication, but if the anxiety persists you should consider it for a while and see if it makes a difference.
I never wanted to take medication, but when I felt better, when nothing else worked. I was glad I did.
Yes, please keep us posted. Hugs.
But I'm glad I'm here in DS it's helping me a lot
Have a nice weekend!
:)
Have you tried hot baths? That's something that has helped me tremendously mid-panic. It relaxes the muscles and can give you a weightless feeling if you float in the water a bit. Lavendar oil also helps me. I'm not sure if you experience nausea with your anxiety (I get very nauseous with anxiety) but cutting open a lemon and smelling it can help too, funny enough! Lastly, I would suggest Vitamin D. You can get them in little tiny pills and you can't overdose on them or anything, it's just vitamins! It can be a very efficient way to improve your mood (depression AND anxiety). A lot of people are vitamin D deficient and don't even know it.
I understand wanting to take a more holistic approach, and I encourage it. But I also agree that there's no reason to suffer if you don't need to. Medicine can help in those situations when nothing else will. I only use it when absolutely necessary, but sometimes... it's just necessary.
I certainly wish you well and hope you find what helps you.
Oh yes, probably I'm vitamin D deficient, I'll get some vitamins this weekend.
yes, sometimes I wonder myself if I'm doing the right thing by not having medicine my Dr. has prescribed birth control pill to balance my hormones,
he doesn't prescribe any anti anxiety only anti depressants. I wish he can prescribed anti anxiety something fast to calm myself when I'm having a panic, I have to educate some more on medication, I know I suffer with this anxiety, but right now my own way are working, but when my anxiety gets so high I might give it a try, I hope my dr. can prescribed the anti anxiety I wonder why he doesn't like to give them to me. I wonder
which one you take that helps.
Thanks
