i miss my geezer life. the "young at heart" trip never was my thing. a 68 year old heart remains 68 years old, no matter how much philosophy you throw at it. as a recovering child prostitute, the further i get from my youth, the happier i am. i'm okay being unattractive to sexual predators. i love being able to get away with things i wouldn't have dared tried when i still had tight buns.
i just got back from our second foster family vacation. a splendid time was had by all, but i find myself struggling with envy as i attempt to get back to our business-as-usual. two of my younger siblings were part of my family vacay and their lives are pretty much the senior citizen stereotypes. it's been nearly 3 years before i inherited my 3 orphans at age 65. they were ages 6, 3 and 8 months when mommy and daddy died in a single car wreck. i haven't spent significant time with any of my age peers since corona made my orphans hazardous to their health. our time at their house reminded me of just how much my life has changed since that tragic accident.

sometimes i think i miss my age peers, too. it's kind of soothing to talk to people who remember the same presidents and social trends that i do. still. . . i'm not sure the covidic social distances are ever going to close. the distance between elders and children is downright shocking here in the closing scenes of coronaville.
