you need to bring peace to your mind, you need to understand that all you can do is give dad your moral support, and let him know things are going to be ok...and that your ok! i can relate to your emotions, its not easy but you need to be stronger for your Dad , even though the distance thing is in the way, but use by all means of any other communication right that you can
Airlines are trained to deal with Anxiety and Panic, so don't be afraid that you'll get in trouble or get hurt. Try talking with your doctor too about getting medications that are designed for air travel, and see what suggestions he/she has.
Remind yourself, you CAN do it! You've done it before and you can do it again. I wish you and your Dad the best of luck in fighting this, believe in him and believe in yourself : )

For your increasing anxiety, consider talking with your doctor for any antianxiety med you may need so you can cope. Write it out, talk it out, don't bury your concerns or anxiety within. Maybe ask around for grief counselors so you can talk about your feelings of your dad's recent cancer diagnosis. Take time out for you and be patient with the entire process.
