i went through this twice. when i was in high school (i am 20 now), i used to literally panic about panicking!
the best thing to do is therapy. cognitive behavioral. it will help change the way you think, and change your perception of situations you see as "threatening".
therapy + medication i believe is the best way to recover from psychological issues.
my second bout of anxiety came from having PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) after walking in on my bro's suicide attempt. it's now been a little over a year, a HARD recovery, but again: therapy and medication...and i'm on my way following my path in life, pursuing a career in Art Therapy.
Through my experiences, i have learned so much. i do not look back in anger or disappointment in myself because of how i've reacted or felt about things in the past. i have become stronger, wiser, and more compassionate because of what i've been through and YOU will too.
please, if anyone needs to talk, i am here. :)
Also knowig where the closest ER is , if it gets totally out of control.
