It is so difficult for others to understand anxiety when they have never been through it themselves. Just sit down and talk with him and work through it. I am sure that now that you are doing better, things will be so different.

Luckily, I am starting therapy soon, and he knows that I am working on bettering myself and conquering anxiety. I think as long as your partner understands that you are not just allowing the anxiety to run your life and that you are taking steps to overcome it, they will be patient with you and supportive. That is what I have found anyway. After a long, long talk with my bf, he realized how I am committed to working on myself, making myself healthier, so that we can nurture one another in a healthy relationship. My advice would be to let him know that you are aware of the things you have to overcome and work on but that you will do so, and then he should be proud and supportive of you for wanting to improve. That would be my take on it. Stay strong!
Relationships, especially sex, if you're not ready for it, can CAUSE anxiety!
One way to get over your body issues is to concentrate on HIS body. He'll be quite grateful for it, and you'll forget about your body and just have a good time.
Also, there's a tendency for some of us to feel like we're powerless in a relationship. Perhaps exert some sexual dominance on him, and you'll see that you are indeed in full control, of your own feelings, and some of his, and that you are a sexy vixen who can influence the heart and mind of this man beyond belief!
