Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

I have a constant need for change and I hate routine.
Why is this a problem?
I quit jobs. Quit school. Change classes. I get so anxious and begin to dwell and think about it constantly.
I find this issue affects my hobbies.
I am a gamer and video games are my #2 hobby.
I constantly will delete my saved games and start over. I have never finished any video game I have ever played because I start over.
One game I have been playing for 2 years, and have yet to complete it, but I have made a new game probably well over 2 dozen times.
This sucks for online games like Final fantasy XI because I have this constant desire to make new characters and delete the ones I have. This is not a good idea because for this game you have to pay a monthly fee.
I do this on the Sims as well. After playing 2 or 3 days I erase everything and start over.
In real life this has cost me a lot of money.
I moved a lot in GA. Because I couldn't stand staying in one place. Every 6 months or so I would move. This cost a lot of money. Several thousand $$$.
Currently I am playing an online game FFXIV. I've had this character since September 22nd 2010. I'm getting extremely anxious and upset because I desperately want to erase my character and start over. But this is also a game where you pay a monthly fee. (Right now the game is free because it's in a developmental stage)
How can I stop doing this?

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I feel ya!
that doesn't even make sense.
Like ok for example. I live with my grandparents right now while I look for a job. Every other weekend or so I go to visit my dad. While there, I am extremely anxious and ready to get back to my grandparents'. It becomes so severe that I have to leave right then or I will break down. I usually can only stay from Friday to Sunday and if I have to stay longer I become...I don't know. Not myself.
Of course my dad is confused and doesn't understand.
I don't like sudden unwarned change. Like if I'm at school and we have to go to an assembly all of a sudden. I have to drop what I'm doing and go and I don't like that.
Or, one day, my mom came home from work and said she needed to go to the hospital, out of nowhere. I felt bad later but when she said it I was so angry because I had to drop what I was doing. I think this is caused by my OCD.
Spontaneous, unwarned, sudden abrupt changes make me angry and anxious.
