Have you tried therapy? It has been my experience, and many others, that something in your past created your anxiety disorder. If you had an especially traumatic childhood this would cause anxiety. Do you remember how old you were when your anxiety first started? If so, go before that age to find the cause of your anxiety. Once you find it a good therapist can help you heal from it. I found my cause and have been healing from it and I am almost anxiety free. Plus I have been off all meds for almost a year. It may be worth looking into since meds appear to not be working or you any more.

Now I'm trying Lexapro. I definitely feel calmer on it, but I've been doing a lot of other things to combat my anxiety, so it might be that I'm feeling better because of those things.
However, they say the most effective thing is to combine medication with therapy.
While you wait to see a therapist, there are a lot of good self help books out there to help with anxiety. I'm using "When Panic Attacks" by David Burns. It has helped me deconstruct and challenge a lot of my fears and negative thoughts.
