Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. So did I have scoliosis since I was a kid but unnoticed, or did this hunger cause it or worsen it?
You can also take a look at this research which gathered all the studies that have been held which associate the occurrence of scoliosis with a factor. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3293085/pdf/1748-7161-6-26.pdf (pages 4-5)
>From these studies I found that 1) Yes, there are evidence that a specific nutrition can be associated with the occurrence of scoliosis. So assume you have the gene/genes that are responsible for scoliosis as well as a hypothetical brother of yours with the same pathogenic genes. It is indicated that whether these genes will express leading to the phenotype of scoliosis or not COULD BE linked to the dietary patterns that you choose. So if your hypothetical brother, who has these genes, eats healthier than you, then there is a possibility that these genes may be blocked from expressing leading him to NOT developing scoliosis. These dietary patterns so far indicate that deficiency of selenium and Vit D could be a possible factor, as well as some specific additives used in food products in the industry. Further examination is needed though. 2) Other factors associated with AIS are increased maternal age, absence of physical exercise, playing volleyball and introduction of infants in heated swimming pools.
Unfortunately not enough research has been made on why scoliosis occurs!
Stay calm and don’t blame yourself as t is not certain whether diet plays such an important role. All you can do is follow your treatment and try as much as you can to eat properly and EXERCISE as there many researches that show clearly the positive results you can get from specific exercises. I had a friend with an almost 25° S curve that treated her scoliosis to the point of zero degrees by wearing a brace!
