My doc put me on 20 mg for GAD. Took my first dose last night and just wondering what to expect from here.

Well it works great for some ppl but for me it made my anxiety worse. I became anti social and couldnt sit still but i was on 60mg.

It helped my depression but made me very tired. I had to stop it and
switch to Wellbutrin. The same AD affects different people differently.
It may not make you tired.

You can probably expect headaches and upset stomach for a couple of weeks . That's the typical side effect profile when starting any AD.
The hard part is you get the side effects up front and have to wait up
to 4 weeks for the benefit. But it's worth it if the AD works for you.

I'm hoping the side effects don't come on too bad. I'm on 20 mg so that doesn't seem too high.

I've been on Cymbalta up to 120 mg and had no side effects. I definitely began to feel better on it. It kicked in pretty quickly but kind of subtle. I have GAD as welll as panic disorder.

Hi Kitty! Thanks for the feedback, that is encouraging to hear. It's a low dose, so hopefully it just does what it need to.
