You are allowed up to 60 mg per day, so you could ask your doctor to up your dose and take it up to three times a day rather than just the 10mg once a day. I also take Seroquel for anxiety and sleeping and Ativan (benzo) for anxiety.
Good luck!
My understanding is that you have to take it regularly as part of it's effect is cummulative.
I don't seem to have any side effects.
I didn't want xanax or the like due to being a recovering alcoholic. It's a good med for me in combination with an antidepressant.
I have been taking Buspar for about 2 months now. It does nothing for some and for some like myself it seems to help. I suffer from GAD and some panic as an added bonus. I started this med off slow 15mg per day but have increased to 40mg daily presently. I did have some very weird side effects from this drug like, really vivid dreams, dizziness, headaches, stomach aches, and just that drugged feeling. I stuck with it and a lot of those effects have since left. I will also say that my anxiety is definitely better then it was 2 months ago. Just a note, I do also compliment my Buspar with Xanax as needed for those tough times. If you have any specific questions dont be afraid to ask. Hope that helps
