What I found, because i'm a lot better now, but back when it was happening, I found it increased till I cried myself to sleep, and then in the morning I woke in a new space, and then it came back down in about 15 to 30 mins and was bad, and then shifted when I went to work.
They have discovered in recent times that your brain opens the sluice gates when you sleep, and actually washes, ie with saline, the cells of your brain while you sleep.
This means sleep is getting rid of those chemicals. The chemicals that short-circuit your brain. So sleep is definitely your friend. And it's intriguing that when you have insomnia, you get more anxiety.
