I am trying to find a new antianxiety medication. Some of you have suggested Xanax, are there any more meds you all would suggest please?

Thank you for the response. Yes, I do my research on all of the medications that my doctor suggests. And I know are bodies react differently, but I was just wandering what meds worked for other people is all. I will always consult with my doctor.

Buspar and hydroxyzine have worked well for me and both are non-addictive. Good luck in your search!

I take hydroxyzine at night when my anxiety acts up its great. it don't make you feel like zombie and its not addictive I love it my heart can be going 130 and I'm calm within twenty mins after taking.

To add, do any of you get anxiety about taking a pill. I am just starting back up on effexor after a year being off and have be anxious about it. Its day three and I dont remember feeling this way last time they put me on it. I want to run away from work and go home but I'm trying to fight it

Klonopin is better, 1/2 Mg. At bedtime, works very well.

Even with my meds I can still have anxiety. I would ask the Doctor and see what they would like to try on you. It is kind of wait and see what works the best. They help but sometimes I still have times. I have to be mindful and try to rest when I am having some anxiety. Sometimes I do something to take my mind off things. That helps a bit. Many hug to you.
