Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
@maddiesgrammie I have been seriously slacking on doing things such as yoga, meditation and other.. I should get back into a daily routine of it and maybe it'll help my anxiety calm down a lot.
I had chronic stomach pain for years, my stomach was always hurting. Was in the hospital 3 times for severe dehydration, low weight or loss of weight. Finally was committed to psych hospital for loss of weight, anxiety.
I was told to drink 3-4 nutrition shakes daily-I drink Walmart brand Equate-similar to Ensure.
I have gained from a low of 75 to 130 now (I was in a bad way, very paranoid, anxious, stomach hurt SO bad I thought I was going to die)
I still get anxious, and do not eat well but the shakes have helped me to keep and maintain my weight. I try to eat better-well sometimes I do not try very hard, I just don't feel like eating many times-but those shakes keep my weight up.
I am working now on breathing exercises to calm my anxiety. Am trying to be able to deal with the anxiety, I do not want to let my weight get so low ever again.
The stomach pain has stopped THANK GOODNESS.
I think the not eating-in my case- was the source of the pain, I never have had much of an appetite either, my mom says that I was very picky as a baby, and I was a very picky eater growing up-STILL AM.
A therapist I saw says that I could have a sensory disorder, along with anxiety.
If you can tolerate those shakes, maybe give them a try-I actually like them! again-THANK GOODNESS-I like the chocolate shakes.
I sure hope that you can find something to ease your stomach pain.
And hope that your cold is gone. Colds are such a nuisance and irritating, as well as uncomfortable.
I hope you can find a way to break that cycle you are going through-those loops.
I just try to breath, listen to relaxing music, sleep, or self talk to myself, or hot baths, showers also work for me. Also my med I take helps a great deal. Anxiety is my normal, but hope it to change. If you can, try to eat something mild, or bland that won't upset your stomach.
On that changing, different things work for all of us, maybe a change in your routine, or finding ways that work for you on your anxiety.
BEST of luck to you HUGS
