Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Very often when someone is unable to give care and understanding to a person it's because they have actually never received it themselves. So they feel bitter that someone would ask them for something that they themselves also want and feel they don't receive. I say this because of your comment about your current GF. You say she has anxiety, has parents who care yet she does not give you the support you need when you need it. My feeling is that she has anxiety because something in her past created it - something not so nice. And this happened to her even though her parents are supportive.
I don't mean to make this about your current GF because this should be about you. I just want you to understand that you are making some assumptions that may not be justified. If you want her to be supportive of you, you may have to teach her what you need from her. It seems she is trying to distract you, a very common thing for people with anxiety to do. She believes that kissing you will distract you because, maybe, this would work for her. If this is not what you need then you need to tell her this and also tell her what it is you DO need from her. What can she do that will show you that she supports you? Write them down and tell them to her. Hopefully she is willing to try them. If she is not, then you have different problems besides just anxiety.
Take care
