In the end though, it is always the chemicals released during an attack tricking me again. Through a therapist I have learned a lot about breath control and challenging negative thoughts, which has helped a lot.
I have been anxiety attack free for about 2 1/2 years and just within the last 3-4 weeks started getting the persistent, everyday panics I would get when first diagnosed.
I think that's where I am going wrong though..Ive gotten myself into the cycle of scanning my body for anything "abnormal" feeling and have grown to fear the panic all over again. Does anyone have a recommendation for stopping that fear cycle?
I took a tiny piece of a Xanax tonight hoping it would help me sleep, and here I am, almost 4 in the morning and on the computer!
