Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
My anxiety, makes me so nervous, I start to doubt myself. Even when I know I can handle the job.
What I'm doing is taking Lexapro which has helped. Also going to my therapist.
Right know I'm looking for a job, and I worry that my anxiety will act up again.
At first it seemed the anxiety was lessening a little while I went to work, but now the last few days it is back full force and I'm not sleeping.
I am thinking of quitting this new job because it has made my anxiety worse and stress worse. I went through this two years ago. I quit two new jobs and the one I actually was so freaked out and panicky that my partner dropped off my letter of resignation after me calling in sick several days.
I don't understand why in the interview they agree to things and then when you get the job it all goes out the window.
I wish I knew what to tell you. I do know some of my anxiety is emotional, but I also believe there are genetics involved, as due my doctors. That is the reason we are having my grandmothers records forwarded to my doctors because of her mental health issues and mental breakdown which resulted in ECT and to find out if she was ever diagnosed with anything. I have been through a lot and in December something in me just snapped. I am trying to work towards a better life but the knocks keep coming and when you have to work a job you hate, but have no other experience for another it makes it all the worse to deal with. This is why my pdoc didn't want me to work, but to spend the time working on my mental health.
If you like the job enough then I would say to keep pushing through your anxiety and distract yourself as much as you can and keep working. I know it is exhausting but at least you'll have tried. I am going to look for another part-time job with less hours.
Also, once I am at a job, my heart starts to pound an hour or so before I have to get up or will pound harder when the alarm goes off. I cannot explain why I feel this way. I have not had a lot of luck with antidepressants. I take Xanax for the anxiety and it helps when an attack strikes.

I've called out early in employment too...like, the first day! Yep, I've called out on my first day, making up some excuse like, "Oh, I thought you said to start tomorrow". Thinking that with one more day's time, I'll be ok to work. Then tomorrow comes, I panic, and don't show up. Or call because I'm too embarrassed. Whenever that happens, I get so down on myself. I feel like such a worthless failure.
Paxil helps me, as well as Xanax or Klonopin. It gets me through the door. I've also been seeing a hypnotherapist lately who has taught me some useful things, like EFT.
