Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I think the anxiety is getting to my stomach. Yesterday I think I had indegestion, today after dinner felt like a pit (I should mention I am a volunteer EMT and was on a call with a puker after eating). Those calls give me the willies because I worry about catching it, so the pit in my stomach was most likely nerves.
I also have acid reflux, take meds, I have a hiatal hernia, etc. So, I never know what things are from, I just know recently the stomach seems to be taking a bit of a beating.
My wife was amazed in 2008 when I went for an Upper Endoscopy to find that I do not have ulcers....sometimes she says "Maybe you finally got them."
She does not wish it on me, but after the last few months, it would be surprising I that anxiety has not gotten to me!!
@slingshot I get sick when I think about other people vomiting or if they are sick, I start to fear I will get what they have (especially if it was food poisoning and we've eaten the same thing) I don't have acid reflux or a hernia, But i do have a really bad back injury (It's a pinched nerve that never healed properly) and it tends to hurt in my ribcage as well sometimes, If i move the wrong way or overwork it.. It hurts more.
