I feel for you. I am new to the site and struggling with same issues. Try and turn your negative thoughts to positive ones. Think about how happy your dad would be to see you and how good you will feel for accomplishing this tough task. Tell yourself you can do it.
I hope thus helps. Let us know how you get on.
The biggest thing for me is that I don't eat when I first wake up, I have to wait a bit before eating.. and if we're leaving at 12 I won't get the chance to have anything to eat.. When i don't eat "at the right time" I can get pretty bad anxiety.. I know that most likely once I am there in the hospital I won't feel this insane fear and worry.. Or i might but it will calm down.. I know that, I just fear that I'll decide against going and I don't want to be a horrible daughter if i do that. I can't eat before leaving the house because I don't usually eat lunch until 1:30 or 2pm and my OCD is pretty strict... If i do anything out of routine, I usually have really awkward anxiety for a while...
Any advice? I'm tripped up on this one.
But I have found anticipatory anxiety is way worse than the actual event you are fearful of. So I think you will be OK.
If you are leaving at noon and need to eat first maybe you need to wake up an hour earlier than usual and give yourself the time you need to eat something. Or bring an energy bar or drink in the car with you.
Good luck
