I don't get quite like that, but I do find myself breathing rapidly. Hasn't been as bad lately since the meds are kicking in.

I feel that way when I have a lot of anxiety. It feels like I can't breathe normally.

i used to get that way a lot at first. it still happens to me even now after all these yrs. i feel like i cant take a deep breath.the more you gasp the worse it gets.many yrs ago my doc. told me to take a paper bag and put it over your mouth and nose and breathe into it. it works. if u constantly try to get a deep breath, you hyperventilate. breathing in the bag puts carbon dioxide back into your body. it works. i carried a paper bag in my purse for yrs. i hope this helps. patsy

Some deep breathing and guided visualization would be of help I think.

I feel like I'm not breathing 24/7, even when I'm not having anxiety. Even when I'm depressed. Even when I'm happy. I think my heart was damaged.. but others will just tell me its anxiety. I can't even walk down the street anymore , afraid I might pass out.
