5-htp made me nauseous, only took it for a couple days. Never tried l-tryptophan. I have tried something called mood up stress down, it has l-theanine in it. Bought it at a Walgreens. It seemed to help but it could of been the placebo effect. I would recommend vitamin D. That helped me stay active during the day. I was also prescribed lexapro from a doctor but never made it past a few days because I would wake up in a panic after 4-5 days. Never tried anything else. But if you don’t have access to a doctor or therapist I would just make sure your taking the right amount of vitamins and minerals and definitely look into seeing a doctor or therapist. Also before trying anything herbal or natural make sure your not allergic to any of the ingredients.
