I ,too, suffer from social anxiety and other anxieties.
I bet there will be other people there who have anxiety.
Well anyway, you have a lot of friends here on DS who
know what you go through. Remember us when you are
on your field trip!
Furthermore, you can pray to God for strength and
courage. Know that He is within you, always.
I wish that I could go with you! Take good care of yourself,
dear girl. Have fun! Focus on you and your son!
May the Peace of God Be With you, forever!!!
I also keep in mind that probability of me technically getting sick is very slim. I'm healthy, I wash my hands before eating, etc. So in reality I'm not sick as often as I am letting my brain believe.

The more you push yourself to do these types of things the more you will see that nothing bad happened and show yourself you can do it....you most likely will be worried on this coming trip and maybe the next 10 but the more you do it the sooner you will overcome this
Focusing on your son is probably the best thing you can do to overcome this. You've eliminated at least one uncomfortable variable (the school bus), and you're right - once you've done this, it will be no big deal. The posters who have encouraged you to carry forward, even though it's uncomfortable, are correct; each baby step forward, hard though it is, puts you one step up the mountain.
I wish you well on your trip, and hope that you're blessed with enough peace of mind to enjoy the day.
