Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
As for 'letting it go'... It would be so nice if it were that easy but it is not. I also could not let things go but, with lots of therapy and hard work, I have learned how to 'let things go'. I will say that a big part of learning to 'let it go' was learning to appreciate myself, my time and my boundaries...and honoring them all the time.
Take care. I do hope things improve for you very soon.
I can keep myself from letting little things turn to panic but after a week or two it blows up and I panic. I have made progress. I used to panic at least 3 times a week. I just wish I could stay strong and not let stuff get to me.
I just have this picture of what a wife should be and the sleeping disorder makes that hard. I don't work full time because I can't so I feel like I should have a clean home and meals cooked everyday. It's just too hard. This is mostly in my head. My husband is pretty understanding. Once in awhile he mentions things but the negative thoughts are all coming from me.
I don't like admitting my husband isn't the most supportive. I know he cares it must be hard for him to know what to do and he is a man on top of that. I have it in my head that he needs to fix it and make things better for me. I know this isn't his job but it's hard not to expect that. I guess I always pictured having a husband that picked up the pieces and comforted me when I'm upset. Then I realized men don't understand why your upset and when they try to help it usually makes it worse. Ugh. I'm just so sad I don't have anyone to cry to. Even my sister thinks I should let things go but I don't know how. After it builds I have no idea how to let it go.
I know how you feel. I am an artist and I work at home. Because I am at home, I take on more of the housework. I beat myself up a lot if I don't have a good day in the studio or the laundry goes undone because I was too tired or had appointments or errands. It's tough, but I think you can learn to be gentler with yourself.
Perhaps you should look for a good therapist?
