Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
It sounds as if there are a lot of issues in your life that are troubling you. When we are under a lot of stress, our minds tend to be unable to handle it all, and we can become depressed and anxious. Are you able to see a family doctor to start out with, and see if you may need some kind of help for depression and anxiety? Sometimes starting with an anti-depressant can help. But if you are not able to, or are uncomfortable with doing that, I understand.
I hear that you feel that your marriage is declining, you are unhappy with yourself, exhausted, worried about your weight, concerned about your husband's alcohol consumption, frustrated with your intimate life, concerned about your binge eating, you often feel like crying and feel like giving up, you are anxious, having trouble sleeping, and you are worried.
I understand totally. All of these things combined are too much to try to solve all at once, or all alone.
You mentioned Overeaters Anonymous. They have a wonderful program of recovery (and it is free) that starts with a 12 step program that is spiritual, and can be applied to all areas of your life, not just issues with weight. I highly recommend it as a starting place to find some peace of mind, friendship and some comfort and hope for all the things you are facing. Also, consider seeing a doctor to help with depression and anxiety.
I have been through almost everything you are going through. Please know that there is hope, and help, and things can get better. Take one day at a time, one moment at a time. If you need someone to talk to, just let me know. I am willing and able to listen.
My prayers are with you. You are not alone.
