My household is so fragile right now. My wonderful husband, who has PTSD, and massive Anxiety, is struggling. My 11yr old son, who has a genius level IQ, and massive anxiety, is heavily reacting to Dads fragile state. My husbands PTSD is a result of being abandoned at age 9, by his drug addict mother, and having to raise himself. He was never put in the system, but instead left to the wilds of Hawaii. His story is a hard one, and very sad, but as a husband and father, he is the best. Our son is a super confidant kid. He is brilliant, but this gift comes with the burden of knowledge. He knows so much, but doesn't have the life experiences, or full maturity to be able to process of this information. So he worries, and bottles it, and continues to worry, until he his worry well is over flowing. Then he blows. Blows big time. Just in the last 2 weeks, he has blown twice at school, to the point where his actions got him suspended. We have counseling set up, but have to wait another week for the first appointment. The hard part for us is, we have NEVER seen him blow up like he does at school. He and his younger sister are so bonded, and hardly ever fight. He is a good kid. The hard part for me, is that I feel like I can't do enough to help them both. On top of that, I have my father, who has Parkinson's, and I often have to care for him. It is very hard on my son to see his grandfathers health failing, and it is often towards the end, or right after I have had to have my dad with us for a while, that my son will blow. I feel so lost. I am doing enough? What else can I do?
