i took my lovely dog Jake to the vets yesterday to get his claws cut,the vet checked him out for me when i told him Jake was not liking his walks and he can't jump now,or run much,it has been decided that he has arthritis in his back and his back legs,oh my poor little baby boy,i asked the vet what i could do to make Jake feel more comfortable,and he mentioned a new vaccine that is out, it comes from Australia, jake has a jab every week for four weeks and then has a four week break,then another jab,and then another four weeks break and then a reassessment, if he has improved enough he will only need a jab every six months,i am so relieved,jake actually seems a bit happier today and is running around more,i hope it lasts for him,the baby Ferrets are three weeks old now and really big and noisy,a few more weeks and we will have to rehome them and the mother ,it is so satisfying helping unwanted animals like this,i wish i had become a fosterer years ago ,,my own two lovely Ferrets are a delight to have and so affectionate and funny.please everyone keep your fingers crossed for Jake,hugs to you all,Nell.
