I hate when people are cruel to our 4 legged family members.....and its hurts my heart to see and read about such things....i understand ...getting the word out about such abuse.. helps...but most of the post....here.. are mostly about that.....its depressing...so can we please... lets not flood the board with depressing cruelty .....once in a while can we talk about our silly dog ...or cats....or what ever....share funny things they may have done.....or share about a group who are saving animals...... does it always have to be about cruelty or death of an animal .....anywho...thanks 4 letting me vent.....love U Kirby.. that's my dog an Australian Shepard Mix...... a beautifully ...sexy young lady....."sexy"...is what our Vet calls her.... lol

I agree, I stopped coming here because it was just to much for me hearing all the bad things about animals. I suffer from depression as it is and I am having a hard time getting over my loss of Abby, my dog. I need to be around things that will make me smile, not cry. I do enough crying as it is.

Hopefully we can get this group going again with some happy stories........:-)

HELLO, IF YOU LOOK ON THE PHOTOS YOU SEE A DOG PLAYING WITH A BALL, ITS FAVOURITE GAME, HIS NAME IS 'ROCKY' HE IS GETTING OLD, WE SPONSOR THIS SWEET OLD DOG, HE CANNOT BE REHOMED , HE WAS ALWAYS BROUGHT BACK, SO HE LIVES AT ''THE ARK'' A RESCUE AND ALSO A RETIREMENT HOME FOR UNWANTED PETS..
FOR CHRISTMAS GIFTS, WE SENT 'ROCKY' 2 NEW COATS TO KEPP HIM WARM DAY AND NIGHT, ONE GOT FLEECE UNDERNEATH SO IT KEEPS HIM WARM, ALSO SOME GOOD HEALTHY FOOD FOR HIS AGE..
WE VISITED 'ROCKY' LAST YEAR AND HAD TIME WITH HIM, HE IS WELL CARED, AND GETS VOLONTEERS TO WALK HIM EVERYDAY, HE LIVES NEAR THE SEA, AN IT GETS WINDY, YTHE KENNELS ARE HEATED, HOPE THIS MAKES YOU HAPPY, IN SO MUCH SADNESS, THERE ARE GOOD STORIES..LOVE LUCY***

Rocky is such a handsome dog. It's sad that nobody would want to keep him. I bet he was happy to get those nice looking coats to keep him warm. I hope he lives out the rest of his days a very happy dog. Thanks for sharing him with us.......:-)

Good idea, to post some positive things here...it can get overwhelming to see what people do to animals. Even people who claim to ''love'' animals frequently treat them like toys or objects, and are selective in their sympathy regarding animal suffering.

Sometimes I just want to shut it out and look at Cute Overload all day:

ignoring what is going on isn't a solution. cute things are nice, but it doesn't solve anything at all.
