Angina pectoris is chest pain due to ischemia (a lack of blood and hence oxygen supply) to the heart muscle, generally due to obstruction or spasm of the coronary arteries (the heart's blood vessels). Coronary artery disease, the main cause of angina, is due to atherosclerosis of the cardiac arteries.
Hi, I'm new here. Please asist me with surport and advice. I have not been diagnosed with Angina but I have suffered severe heart failure. Well! I have seen my doctor in regards to night breathing problem and I was sent to the hospital were they discovered that I had an heart failure. I'm out of hospital but I don't feel well at all. I dont understand why my eyesight has become effected by this.
Heart Failure, or Congestive Heart Failure, causes many side effects due to it's nature, including vision problems in some people. Still, make sure to bring it up to your doctor right away so they can ensure it's not due to another issue. As for the breathing issue, that is quite common in heart failure and is why it is also called congestive. Typically this is caused by build up of fluids in the lungs and throughout the body. That swelling many people experience is a sign of that, and is called edema. It is important to you to watch your sodium intake carefully as that contributes to this problem. Hopefully the doctors gave you "water" pills, such as furosemide or in combination with another medication for your condition. Weigh yourself every morning at the same time, a gain of 3 pounds in 1 day or 5 in a week is an indication your heart failure is out of contyrol and you need to contact your doctor right away.
I'm kind of rambling but your message was somewhat vague. Hang in, this isn't the end of the world. I've had end stage heart faiilure for 10 years and no plans of giving up anytime soon.
