Anger Management Support Group
Anger management commonly refers to therapeutic techniques by which someone with excessive or uncontrollable anger can control or reduce their emotions. Typical examples include the use of deep breathing and meditation as a means to relaxation. Psychologists recommend a balanced approach, which both controls the emotion and allows it to express itself in a healthy way.
Let us Anger Overcomers remember though, that when we do "loose it", that not only do we strive not to lash out and hurt anyone (this includes both verbal and physical, and includes God's creatures for He made them too), but we do not turn our anger inward and harm ourselves (this includes both physical and mental). We do, however, properly express our anger toward that which brings it on, i.e. "pushes our buttons" . Notice I said "properly". That's what we have to continue and strive to do. It's not easy, but can sure give it a try, by continuing to focus on "our behavior modifications".
Working on it with you all. Keep pressing on, and keep up the good fight. (pun intended).
I've discovered that prolonged or chronic stress causes me to loose control of my anger. Also, not enough sleep, improper diet i.e. too much sugar/caffeine, and depression/anxiety will contribute to me "loosing it". Working on what I can to remedy these "contributors".
Good Luck to all, and God Bless. You're doing great by addressing your anger problems. I am proud of you all.
