Anger Management Support Group
Anger management commonly refers to therapeutic techniques by which someone with excessive or uncontrollable anger can control or reduce their emotions. Typical examples include the use of deep breathing and meditation as a means to relaxation. Psychologists recommend a balanced approach, which both controls the emotion and allows it to express itself in a healthy way.
I admire that you are dedicated to finding help. A healthy relationship is important to all of us. We all have bumps and jolts with tempers though. Could it be the meds that's reacting to your system adversely? I think that you could be on to something with this idea. Until you speak with your primary doctor with this idea, why not just take a walk outdoors in the fresh air when you are tempted with anger? Getting out of the house is a good way to take your mind off the events of raised tempers. When you get back home, try very much to settle in with your family for something amusing, fun and entertaining. What's important is that you feel more relaxed before discussing strong issues. It's really a good idea to focus on positive thinking rather than worrying, which never solves anything. And your wife would never think of leaving you as you are sincerely trying to deal with situations in a mature and responsible way. Get healthy and a new attitude comes with it. Prayers for you!
