Anger management commonly refers to therapeutic techniques by which someone with excessive or uncontrollable anger can control or reduce their emotions. Typical examples include the use of deep breathing and meditation as a means to relaxation. Psychologists recommend a balanced approach, which both controls the emotion and allows it to express itself in a healthy way.

I wouldn't get tougher with him. If he doesn't have any household chores, or needs to learn how to do things for himself (like laundry), now's a good time, before college. (When I left home, I didn't know how to wash clothes or cook) Once he starts studying what interests him, he may look forward to finding work in his field.
I can't believe you had to work at 8 - that's not much more than a baby. Sounds like you really care about his future - support is everything. Might be fun if you found a video game that you both learned at the same time and played together, as long as he could beat you and no one gets mad :)
if you want to help him structure his day then the routine will help him with the addiction, I would think. is he open to working on a schedule with you?
