Anger Management Support Group
Anger management commonly refers to therapeutic techniques by which someone with excessive or uncontrollable anger can control or reduce their emotions. Typical examples include the use of deep breathing and meditation as a means to relaxation. Psychologists recommend a balanced approach, which both controls the emotion and allows it to express itself in a healthy way.
I'm very sorry for what you had to go through. Something like this I feel would require extensive therapy with a qualified practitioner. Online groups I think can be helpful to an extent, but I just think that, given the level of trauma and unresolved anger that you would have from those experiences, that therapy over a period of time with someone qualified, positively recommended, and that you feel comfortable with and whom you can trust is the best method.
As far as some quick tips, I'd say try to use the bad experiences you had to make you a better parent than your dad was to you. While you lost your childhood, you can help ensure that your kids have the childhood that you never had. Maybe when they are older or ready to hear it you can even share the experiences you had with them and how it made you who you are. One more tip would be maybe to try to 'reward' yourself with things or activities that redeem the part of your childhood you feel you lost.
Your experience no question sounds horrifying and it affected you. But I think with the right focus you can use it to benefit you and your family in the future.
