Anger Management Support Group
Anger management commonly refers to therapeutic techniques by which someone with excessive or uncontrollable anger can control or reduce their emotions. Typical examples include the use of deep breathing and meditation as a means to relaxation. Psychologists recommend a balanced approach, which both controls the emotion and allows it to express itself in a healthy way.
I got stuck with student loans and ended up going on disability and not being able to finish school or hold down a job. I am a good person and of course I thought that it was unfair especially since I was going to school to do a career in helping people. Well I use my education in other ways to help people and I believe God has a plan for my life. It is different than the plan that I had for my life but each day I am learning to put my trust in God and to let my anger go. I may not be a healthcare professional today but I believe I am right where I am suppose to be and I am not going to let my illness dictate my future.
I may eventually go back to medical school in the future right now I don't know but I do know that I am suppose to be a writer and I have a writing ministry that is doing very well. Have you evaluated your skills and updated your resume? If you want some pointers on how to get your dream job send me a message I have a lot of occupational and employment experience and I can point you in the right direction give you some helpful advice. Some relaxation techniques would really help you. Here are some things that can help you vent your emotions and frustrations in healthy ways.
Keep a Journal and write your feelings down. Exercise to blow off steam go for a walk or run and box if you can it is an excellent way to get your frustrations out on a bag rather than another person. If you don't have a gym that you can go to with a punching bag try strapping a pillow to a chair and hitting the pillow with a belt or scarf until you are tired, throw soft plush stuffed animals and small pillows around the room things that can't break or hurt anyone throw them at the wall it will make you feel better.
write a letter to someone that has hurt you and tell them off then when you are done destroy the letter. Write a letter to someone that has done something nice for you when you are done send that letter it will make you and that person feel better. write a letter morning your career or job or the life that you had before you had a life changing disease and share it with someone close to you even your doctor. It is important that they know how having this disease makes you feel and how it robs you of the life that you once knew.
Then make some goals for yourself that are realistic that you can work on in your treatment so that you can improve some things about your life now. post your goals on DS and let your friends encourage you as you make progress. I guarantee you will feel better and less angry in time.
can be incredibly stupid--but then again,so can we all at times;that's the human condition. With
your telephone callers, try and lighten up with
them. When get a particular silly caller, make yourself smile even though don't feel like it.
Annddd, after call, tell self to accept your
superiority--yes really!
Maybe the best help is,
to hold yourself in kindness and compassion.
You know it does not feel good,so be gentle
and consoling with self "there there" :)
No kidding,it helps to 'soften' towards self.
Good Luck,
