Anemia (or anaemia), which literally means "without blood," is a deficiency of red blood cells and/or hemoglobin. This results in a reduced ability of blood to transfer oxygen to the tissues, and this causes hypoxia; since all human cells depend on oxygen for survival, varying degrees of anemia can have a wide range of clinical consequences.
As far as the way you are feeling, you might want to ask your doctor if antidepressants might help. I would guess your first thought in response to this is, "They will not help me." Most depressed people believe that. I took my prescription, just to be able to tell the doctor, they do not work. Then one day I realized I felt better.
I will hope that things get better for you. I know it is very hard right now
mega54 advised an antidepressant. I recently read that SSRI's are linked to iron deficiency.
Also, does anyone taking iron supplements, have weird side effects at night during sleep?
