Anemia Support Group
Anemia (or anaemia), which literally means "without blood," is a deficiency of red blood cells and/or hemoglobin. This results in a reduced ability of blood to transfer oxygen to the tissues, and this causes hypoxia; since all human cells depend on oxygen for survival, varying degrees of anemia can have a wide range of clinical consequences.
sometimes it feels like i'm barely breathing. it's really scary.
I'm no expert, but I'm in a similar position whereby anemia has 'suddenly' happened after years without issue.
I definitely get a shortness of breath if I overdo things - ie walking up more than a couple of flights of stairs. So you're not alone there!
All I can say is keep hassling your doctor about finding out what is going on. Trust that they will find out what is causing your issues.
Thanks

Take care and blessings,
