I came here kind of hoping to find stories of families who have kind of made it through addiction. I have a two year old and a five month old with a wonderful man who I don't want to loose. However, right now we are not together and we cannot be unless he is able to completely give up this part of his life. Is it even possible? He has agreed to get help and counseling but isn't that desire to get 'high' always there? What's to say 5 years from now he relapses. I don't know if I can trust him, but I really, really want to. How do I find that trust?

WOW this post that I am replying to has been posted he for a long time. i hope everything has worked out for you family. I wish someone had the answer to that question my self! My husband is a wonderful caring person until he the desire to do drugs. time and time again he has told me he needed to stop or that he promises that he wouldnt talk to his friend that supplies it to him again and then he does it agian and spends money that we don't have.he doesnt have a job and hasnt had one for awhile and each time he did he would lose it or quit and now he is getting ready to go to school and had to push it back a week because he did drugs again and the first day of school they are going to do a drug test and physical. what I am saying here is only the tip of what has been going on for the past year. i am not sure how much longer I can hold on.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus).
