Here is a brief update.

Two weeks ago, what was left of my right arm, and my right shoulder, were completely removed.

So far, the operation has been a complete success.

I learned much about elective amputations, and I will write more later so that others can share this knowledge.

I have decided there is no real benefit to a detailed note about my sucessful elective amputation. Everyone is different.

I will continue to moniter this board and be available to help anyone; by posting, privately any way I can.

Being an amputee puts us all in a small group. Elective amputees are a sliver of THAT group. I elected to have mine done and NEVER regret it. Remember " It's not how hard you can hit or how hard you can get hit, it's how hard you can get hit and KEEP MOVINF FORWARD!"

Finally !! home from rehab and starting college again in September !!

Finally !! feeling good!

Entering an open- minded, optimistic and fluid stage of life as medical complications fade into the background and I try to find a new path after becoming disabled.
