Im a above the knee amputee at 45. Lost my leg almost two years ago. The first year is the hardest I think . but it does get better, Im happy im alive because i really shouldnt be . I was mis diagnosed and my blood disorder wasnt found until after the heart attacks seven stents and amputation.
My BF Left me a few month's after i got home from the hospital. But life goes on. im still in wheelchair because I have nerve damage in my left legbut I don't let it hold me back from doing what I used to do or just living lifehe just have to do things a lot differently that's all

GREAT news, for me I am getting my first prosthesis, within the week, they id a cast of my leg today, and I finally am going to be able to walk again, its there a way you can walk? If it is to personal for you to discuss with me seeing we just met 3 days ago. LOL People say I have a dry sense of humor, if I offended you in any way, please do not take it personal. I am just trying to make friends and cherish the opportunity you are giving me. THANK YOU for being you.

My name is Jeri spelled the girl way... lol. I haven't been on this site in quite a while . Im still finding my way around on here, I tried to post pics last night but it wouldn't take I don't know what I was doing wrong. anyway that's great that you're going to get your first cast.and don't worry about being too personal my life is a open book. yes I will walk I'm too strong to give that up,,,,, I have to have another surgery to fix the nerve damage and then I have to go through more therapy my leg is weak from not walking for so long now
Its been a nightmare but what doesn't kill me only makes me stronger.
