I support gay marriage. Kids will not become gay because they have two moms or two dads. You are born with a sexual preference and I believe you should be able to live your life with whom you choose; as long as no one is physically harmed. This is also about finances, insurance and support.

This is a charged topic, everyone has their right to a say. This is a subject you are either in all the way or your not. kim

I am not against same sex partners, it is the term "married" that I feel does not apply. There are already ways to be a common-law "couple". And I have friends who live happily this way.

It's not the terms themselve that make a difference. It's what comes with marriage. Couples that are leagely married have the leagle items such as taxes, adoptions, inheritances. I don't know all the leagal things that married couples have that common law couples don't have. If someone knows please tell us. But I do know that married couples have more rights than those that just live together. Can anyone put this better? Thanks

It all varies by the state that you're in for rights on common law marriage. It depends on the insurance company too. Some will cover some won't. Gays should be allowed to marry. It shouldn't matter what your genders are.

Well I am not sure if I should type my opinion ( I imagine is will come under fire)!!!! BUT I AM TOTALLY APPOSED to GAY MARRIAGES... It is bad enough to have gays as couples let alone for them to marry. It is totally against what GOD ment for MAN AND WOMAN. I am a firm believer that GOD created ADAM & EVE... NOT ADAM & STEVE or PAM & EVE... It is not showing real well where our Morals lie in America. We took GOD out of schools (children can no longer pray or mention THE LORDS name), We are trying to take it out of the Constitution, and THE Pledge Of Alligence. The only way alot of Americans get HIS name right is to Take it in VAIN.... Once again I Am AGAINST GAY MARRIAGES.... Please if you choose to be with the same sex keep it in your own home... God did not create just straight people. He created us all. I don't see what gives me the right to judge anyone for their beliefs. I will pray for them but will not judge them.

No ohwhataday, you are not the only one that opposes gay marriage. I am with you all the way. God made Adam and Eve, not adam and steve.I don't feel it is judgeing when you read the only Truth in this world is the Bible and it should not be legal. And in the eyes of God it is not legal.Roamans 1:26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their womane exchanged the natural use for what is agains nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful , and receiving in themseves the penalty of theirt error which was due. Lev. 18:22 tells more of how homosexuality is not right in Gods eyes. We all are unrightgessness in some way or another non are perfect, but when we see what is wrong, we are to pray for God to help us change our behavior. And I have learned to love even if a person lives this lifestyle as my daughter who is 45 has lived in a lesbian lifestyle since she was a teen. But we love each other and she knows my feelings and respects them and I love her but not her sin. So, the people who believe the truth, must also stand up for our beleives even so in this day, right is wrong, and wrong is right. I am not opposed nor for gay marriages. It is not my place to put judgment on anyone. I, do, however have a problem with this.

Without so much as a blink of an eye, we take prayer out of schools, we take God out of our government, and are now are debating the Pledge of Alliegance, BUT, we take the time and take payers money to debate whether same sex marriage should occur.

Am I the only one that sees a problem with this?

Ohwhataday - I have similar views - I also will not judge - But in the the bible i have read, I have not come across support for gays.

But it has been some time so my recollection could be bad.
