I strongly believe that one of the key factors in slowing down the progression of this illness is to keep the mind as actively stimulated as possible; with this in mind over the past few years I have formulated and typed up a series of Kriss Kross Word Puzzles myself specifically for people with our illness, you can find and download the Word Puzzles from the Alzheimers Talking point website in the (I have dementia section) just follow this link and keep your brain active.

He liked to write and would write the alphabet, numbers or words.
He stopped all of that about 18 month ago. About a year ago he was unable to sign his name.. even if I wrote it first. Then he tried to eat the pencil.
The games, and repetitive things are very helpful in the early/mid
stages. Keeps the brain connecting longer.
