My cousin is in her fourth year of this disease - she started at around age 58 - she still knows everyone and what is going on in the world - can carry on a good converstion etc but she can't see right. It started when she had trouble driving - then doing her work - she had to retire and now can't write her name. She still can read sometimes but her visual symptoms are getting worse. Stairs are bad - no depth perception - and she is getting anxiety. I think her husband may have to ask the dr for some meds for that - she is getting upset when she makes mistakes etc.

Needs help dressing & bathing etc - has to be directed to a chair to sit - helped on stairs that sort of thing. Does anyone here have experience with this type of Alzxhimers? She can still see the tv shows although I notice she likes the talk shows or soaps the best probably because she can follow the talking more than the visual. She says she can read her kindle but not a regular book - not sure about that. Any advice?
