Normally I can tell the moment I wake up if its going to be a good day, or a bad day, often I find that a restless night results in me becoming very shaky, agitated and confused, and its hard to get the body motivated first thing in the morning (or maybe I need jump leads)
Today is such a day its Sunday and all the familys children and their friends are running up and down the garden shouting and screaming I know they are only playing and I try to be very tolerant but I can fell my self becoming more shaky and agitated and the noise is ear splitting and making my head spin its like one of those Christmas decorations you can buy, a glass ball with a snowy Christmas scene inside when left still the snow is settled but when you shake or disturb it becomes like snowfall swirling around inside the ball, and thats exactly how my head feels at the moment, so much so, all I want to do is cry I will just have to go indoors as I cant control my body or my mind and can feel tension rising within me
Yet again today I was woken up to a rude awakening, with my wife, her mother, and the all the neighbours talking at the top of their voices, as it seems there has been a problem with the distribution of free government food parcels that should be given to the poor widows and widowers but had been given to those that have money, unfortunately CCN (corruption, collusion and nepotism) is still rife here, but all I know is that its totally upset my equilibrium for the day
In fact one of the things I read is that people with mixed dementia should live a quiet stress free life in a quiet environment but there is little hope of that here as the road outside of our house seems to be a major fairway for trucks and motorbikes that continuously go screaming by even though its only a dirt track road , then there is the noise of people talking as Indonesians like to talk loud and more often than not all talk at the same time the talking gets louder and louder as they all want what they are saying to be heard by everyone, its like what I have to say is more important than what you are saying for me this becomes very confusing and adds to my agitation as I cant understand a word they are saying and end up going indoors for piece and quiet

A thought came to me when I was reading your post. I wonder of yu like quiet music if you could get a small portable CD player with earphones and plug into that when the noise is just too much?
When things would be noisy and crazy-making at the holidays at my in-laws I would retreat to the quietest bathroom and read a book....
Hope you find something that can help.
As for the government stuff...well....(!)
